Release notes: January 2024

This article lists all updates and new features for the following applications:

Ishtar365

New features:

  • "Ishtar365 in a new look": From now on, you can open all Ishtar applications (for which you have a licence) in a single window. Previously, each application was launched in a new window of your browser. Now it is possible to use our different applications within the same window. This allows you to easily and quickly switch between each application. Opening and closing an application speaks for itself.
  • In every application, you will now find a new menu on the left, which includes all the tiles of the Ishtar365 dashboard. The menu is displayed only when you hover over the arrow with your mouse. If desired, you can choose to pin the menu so that it remains permanently visible. Once you click on the arrow, the full tile page is displayed.
  • New search function in the top bar for every application (preview)

Solutions and improvements:

  • Convert to an MVC architecture, which offers numerous advantages for you as a user. It makes maintaining and developing new functionalities much more efficient. This architecture improves application speed.
  • All action buttons moved to the top bar.

Ishtar.DMS

New features:

  • Notifications for documents: Now you can configure notifications according to your specific needs to receive targeted notifications. For example, set notifications that certain users will receive when a document is uploaded or edited in a specific library. You can set additional conditions, so that the notification is sent only if one or more metadata parameters have a certain value. Furthermore, it is possible to configure notifications to be sent x number of days before the due date or deadline of certain documents. Customise the configuration according to your specific needs and receive targeted notifications for effective document management.
  • Expandable rights: in addition to the fully restricted rights known up to now, you can now opt for expandable rights. Under strict restriction, only those persons and/or groups assigned to specific metadata have access to certain documents. Persons not listed are then denied access. With the new extensible permissions, which apply to metadata only, you can combine permissions on different metadata parameters. This allows users to see certain files because they have access rights to one or more metadata parameters.
  • Extend rights: for both strict -and extensible-rights, it is now possible to define whether inheritance may be enabled for each group you assign rights to. For example, if you grant rights to the group "Operations" and check inheritance, automatically all groups higher in the hierarchy, such as "Management" according to the organisation chart, will inherit the same rights.
  • Approval process: If Ishtar.Tasks is used within your organisation, administrators now have the option to select a template task per library. After selecting a template task, an approval flow is initiated for each uploaded document. The people who will have to approve all documents within the library are set at the template task within Ishtar.Tasks.
  • Following languages have been added: NL & FR
